Taxis at the harbour
Ferries use the Elizabeth Terminal in St Helier. Cruise passengers usually come ashore by tender at the Albert Pier.
Elizabeth Terminal (ferries)
- Taxi rank: outside the terminal; turn right out of the main entrance. Taxis meet the sailings, but there may not be enough for everyone off a full ferry. Ports of Jersey advises booking ahead.
- Ferries: DFDS sails to Portsmouth, Poole and St Malo; Islands Unlimited to Guernsey; Manche Îles to Granville and Carteret.
- On foot: Liberation Station (buses) and the Weighbridge taxi rank are about 10 minutes' walk away.

There are no hire-car desks at the harbour; they're all at the airport. Tantivy runs shared transfers between the harbour and hotels.
Cruise ships
Larger ships anchor in St Aubin's Bay or off the east coast, and tenders bring passengers to the Albert Pier pontoon in St Helier harbour. Small ships can berth at the Albert Pier. There is space for taxis and coaches in front of the Albert Pier terminal, and the town centre is about 10 minutes' walk.
Uber doesn't operate in Jersey. For a tour of the island in a few hours, book a taxi or a private-hire firm before the ship arrives: a cruise day is the busiest time at the pier.
